You should blog even if you have no readers – says thoughts from the red planet.  Writing helps organize, clarify and sift through what one really thinks about a topic and so it’s a useful exercise even if there is nobody looking over your shoulder reading along with you. I’ve made it a resolution to get back to regular blogging, partly for the reasons outlined in Red Planet’s blog.

Nathan Marz btw is a part of the BackType team, which developed real-time analytics for social web data, and which got bought out by Twitter last August. They did amazing work with a team consisting of a handful of developers (kick-ass developers, check their GitHub contributions). On my 2012 resolution list is to create a startup business as neat and valuable as the one the BackType team created.
