When I talk to neighbors on this campaign, I talk about the need to do to grow Texas jobs, excel in education, and defend our Texas values.  Economic concerns are primary in people's minds. Even though Texas had fared better than other states, we still feel the pinch of Texas' 8% unemployment and an economy that is well off its peak.
